Martha Jane Buchholz

Martha Jane Buchholz, 96, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2022. She was born April 24, 1926 and was a lifelong resident of International Falls. On May 3, 1941 she married Bernhard Buchholz. They were able to enjoy sixty wonderful years together and had five children.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, always there to volunteer whenever needed. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, and knitting and crocheting gifts. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren. Martha will always be remembered for her passionate love for God, her family, and friends. The impact she has made on all of our lives cannot fully be expressed with words, but will be forever cherished in our hearts.

Preceding her in death were her husband Bernhard, sons Jeffery and Rodney, parents Michael and Mary Zdeb, infant sister Lena, and brother Joseph.

Survivors include her sister Annie Taber, three daughters Jeanine O’Bryan, Mary Jo (Paul) Anderson, Raelene (William) Haynes and daughter-in-law Rita Buchholz. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 10th at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Jake Quast will officiate.
