David W. Franko, 68, of International Falls, Minnesota died on December 24, 2022, at Rainy Lake Medical Center.

David was born on September 28, 1954 at International Falls to Nick and Dorothy (Graydon) Franko. He grew up in International Falls and graduated from Falls High School in 1975.

In 1985, David was united in marriage to Pamela Crosby. He worked as a logger and as a mechanic at Rainy Lake Houseboats. He also did a lot of guiding on Rainy Lake. David loved to fish and hunt with his boys, family and friends. He spent a lot of time at the shack in Indus, MN with family. David also loved playing cards especially cribbage.

David was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Slatinski; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Terry Rasmussen; sister-in-law, Susan Franko; and father-in-law, David Crosby.

David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pam Franko; sons, Nicholas Franko, Bryan (Alannah) Franko and Jacob R. Franko; grandchildren, Rawley, Rowyn, Soryn and Talon Franko; brother, George (Shelly) Franko; sister, Kathy (John) Nardi; mother-inlaw, Avis Crosby; brother-in-law, Dan Crosby; sisterin- law, Amanda (Eric) Fannon; special cousins, Gary (Sue) Ireton; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer on a date to be determined.
