Grace Ellen Verrill, 86, of International Falls, Minnesota died on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Ridgeview Assisted Living.

Grace was born on December 2, 1935 in International Falls to parents, Claude and Ellen (Lysen) Laird.

Grace graduated from Falls High School in 1954 and continued on to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.

The former Grace Laird was united in marriage to Douglas Verrill in International Falls on June 15, 1957.

Grace was a chemist at the Boise Cascade paper mill.

She enjoyed cross-country skiing, sports activities when in school, playing golf and won several golfing tournaments, and she was an avid fisherwoman.

Grace was an active member of Faith United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Doug Verrill; brother, Larry Laird; and stepson, Allen Verrill; brother, Larry Laird.

Grace is survived by her brother, Richard Laird.

Per her wishes there will be no funeral services.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls at a later date.
