Marie A. Heiss, 95, of Littlefork, Minnesota, died February 6, 2023, at the Littlefork Nursing Home.

She was born on February 1, 1928, in Littlefork, where she was a lifelong resident. She was later united in marriage to Frederick “J.R.” Heiss in 1949.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Albrecht and Thomas Albrecht; husband, Frederick “J.R.” Heiss; and grandson, Shawn Horne.

Survivors include son, Robert (Vicki) Heiss of Rainy Lake; daughters, Marie “Sunny” (Dan) Scott of Wayzata, MN, and Bette (Brent) Horne of Littlefork; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mother and grandmother Marie will be missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Church in Littlefork on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services at the church.
