Barbara Gail Bergstedt, 81, died on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Rainy Lake Medical Center.

Barbara was born in International Falls, MN on March 6, 1941 to Irene and David Olson. She was a graduate of Falls High. She met the love of her life, Charles Bergstedt, and married in 1964. They were married for 58 years.

She enjoyed spending time with family at her home on South Jackfish Bay. She had an extraordinary talent for wood working and interior decoration and devoted much of her time working on her early American themed home.

She and Charles cared for many poodles over the years. Some of her pastimes were going to their island on Rainy Lake and house boating. She liked to dance, sing, read and garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and David Olson; and brother, Fran Olson.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Bergstedt; son, Morgan Bergstedt (Thea); poodle dog, Minnie; sister, Paula O’Brien (Pat); Brother, Michael Olson; Grandsons, Rylan Bergstedt, Evan Bergstedt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held this summer on Rainy Lake.
