Robert George Pearson, 78, died on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.
Robert was born February 18, 1944 in Many, Louisiana to Robert and Dorothy Pearson.
He spent his childhood years in International Falls, Minnesota and graduated from Falls High School in 1962. Robert attended Rainy River Community College and received an electronics certificate on the Iron Range. He worked at Boise Cascade and International Bildrite in the Falls. He lived in Chisholm, MN for most of his adult years and commuted to Hibbing, MN to work for MDI until his retirement in 2014 at age 70. He always enjoyed working
Ṙobert was active in the Baptist Church in Chisholm. He sang in the choir and was well-liked by all members. He had a deep faith in God and he read and re-read the Bible many times.
He played the trombone, trumpet, flute, clarinet, and saxophone. He composed music for these instruments, especially the trombone.
He achieved the Life Rank in Boy Scouts. He enjoyed playing chess, swimming, walking, boating, listening to music, and fishing.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Bob) and Dorothy Pearson.
Robert is lovingly remembered his sisters, Carole Lane, of Centennial, CO, Shirley (Paul) Gravett, of Buda, TX, and Betty (Bob) Ewald, of International Falls, MN; seven nieces and nephews; and 17 grand nieces and nephews.
A quiet family memorial is planned for later in the year.
