Ronald “Ron” Anderson, 82, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home in International Falls, Minnesota.

He was born on July 21, 1939 to Ernest and Wanda Anderson in Stacy, MN. He graduated from Forest Lake High School and attended Dunwoody Institute. He married the love of his life, Bobbette “Bobbie” Himes, on October 30th, 1965. They moved to Ray, MN in 1971 and raised their 3 children. Ron sold cars for Sheridan Motors and later Waschke Family GM for 36 years.

Ron took pride in his gardening and Christmas decorations. He loved the outdoors, especially spending time at the shack. Above all he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy came from time together with family playing cards & games, walking in the woods and telling jokes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Wanda; sisters Carolyn and Geraldine; brother-in-law David; Father & Mother-in-law Rob and Irma Himes; brother & sister-in-law Dale and Ethel; nephews Don, Shane and Brent; niece Kim.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bobbie; children Jason (Erika), Jeremy (Angela) & Jena (Jeremy); 8 grandchildren Taylor, Ashley, Bradyn & Jacob; Cole & Niklas; Owen & Sydney; sister Nancy; brother-in-law Wade (Pearl); and special nephews, nieces and cousins.

Ron will be deeply missed by all who loved him and will be remembered for his strong work ethic, story-telling, and sharp sense of humor.

Interment will be at Lyman Cemetery in Ray, MN. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
