Vivian Ann (Rapaway) Demuth was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society of International Falls.
Vivian was born in Int’l Falls, MN on January 21, 1934 to Henry L. and Bernice (Raboin) Orstad. She graduated from Falls High School in 1953. She married John J. Rapaway on June 20, 1953 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Int’l Falls, Minnesota. Vivian was employed at Falls Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Her loving, welcome and caring personality shined. Her favorite place was in the nursery caring for the newborns providing guidance to new moms and dads. Her caring and loving personality was the heart of who she was. Mom shared her love for music wherever she went. We have many special memories of her playing her accordion, yodeling, and singing old time country classics, polkas, and waltzes accompanied by her husband, John, on his guitar. She also loved fishing, crafts, gardening, and long walks. Vivian was a past member of the Women of the Moose and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church when she lived in Int’l Falls.
On December 31, 2004, Vivian married Donald Demuth at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and moved to St. Paul and later to North Branch where she was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Vivian and Don enjoyed travelling and spending time with family.
