Joellyn Carol Christensen, 88, of International Falls, died Sunday, June 5, 2022 at The Good Samaritan Society – International Falls.

She was born March 23, 1934 in Fort Frances, Ontario to Edward and Yvonne Belanger.

Joellyn was united into marriage to Robert (Bob) Christensen on April 28, 1957 and he survives.

Also surviving are her children; Brien (Cathy) Christensen, Robyn (Mark) Pelowski and Gary Christensen of International Falls; grandchildren, Bobi-Jo Christensen, Andrew (Holly) Christensen, Mary (Corey) Friesz, Nora (Eric Hutchinson) Christensen, Kaitlyn (Charlie) Schoeck, Matt (Melanie) Pelowski, Cassidy (Tyler Lehman) Christensen, Kylee (Casey Battalion) Christensen; great grandchildren, Destinee Fish, Charles Christensen, Sarabeth and Nathaniel Baden, Christopher and Kimberly Matter, Evie and Hazel Friesz, Margaret Schoeck, Mya, Easton and Chloe Pelowski, Averie Christensen; sisters, Elaine Bishop and Patty (Gordy) Bahr; brother-in-law, Donald Christensen and sisters-in-law, Virginia Sweney and Margret (Mel) Scheirer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Yvonne and Edward Belanger; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nora and Lloyd Christensen; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Jim Gordon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell and Alice Christensen; brothers-in-law, Leon Sweney and Elliot Christensen.

She enjoyed reading, bowling, sun bathing, doing puzzles and line dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren.

The funeral service will be on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Green Larsen Mortuary.
