Laurie Ann Skifstrom (Pleimling) of International Falls died Monday June 13, 2022.

She was born November 15, 1939 in International Falls.

She is preceded in death by son Scott Skifstrom, and parents Pat and Alex Pleimling.

She is survived by her husband Lynn (Skip), sons Randy, Pete (Amy), grandchild Nikki, siblings Brad (Sharon), Linda, Helen (Steve), Shelley, Sister-in-law Jeannine (Gingy) Skifstrom, and many nieces and nephews.

Laurie graduated from International Falls High School in 1958. She loved her Broncos, and loved to belt out a Bronco cheer at anytime. In 1970, Laurie and Skip moved to Coon Rapids and raised a family. Laurie loved her Coon Rapids Cardinals. She enjoyed going to youth and high school sporting events to cheer her Cardinals on. She enjoyed volunteering at school, where she connected with the students and teachers.

Later on in life, Laurie and Skip moved back up north to Ray for their retirement years. Laurie enjoyed visiting with friends, going to lunch with the red hat ladies, and going up to the lake.

Laurie was such a kind, caring, loving, beautiful person. She loved her family and friends, and she cherished the times she spent with them. She will be greatly missed. Her spirit lives on.
