Zona Lee Morin, 80, of International Falls, Minnesota, passed on Thursday, June 30 at Rainy Lake Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 14, 1942 to Ole and Julia Tolpingrud.
On November 14, 1959, she married the love of her life William “Butch” Morin; together, they had three children.
Zona was a bartender at the Holiday Inn for eighteen years until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing cards, dice and waahoo. She had a green thumb when it came to her flower garden. She did not have a favorite flower because she loved them all and saw the beauty in everything and everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Bonnie, Jo and Pat; brothers, Ken, Lloyd and Alton; granddaughter, Kimberly Jo Morin and great-granddaughter, Payton Marie DeMars.
Survivors include her husband, Butch; son, Skeeter (Tammy) Morin, daughters, Lavette (Gary Averill) Morin and Jojo (Hoppy Ehlert) LaRock; brothers, Ted (Deb) Wolden and James Wolden; sister, Julie Wolden; grandchildren, Brandi (Adam) Lehman, Nicole (Eric) Etherington, Holly (Jordan) Morin, Tyler Morin, Kaylea (Nick) LaRock and Ashley (John) DeMars; and special niece, Bonnie Lane. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved with her whole heart. Also survived by special friend since fifth grade, Marie Zaren.
Zona was a very special lady who will be missed by so many.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
