Bruce Wayne Clayton

Bruce Wayne Clayton of Baytown, Texas met Jesus on October 5, 2021.

He was born in Tulia, Texas on September 5th, 1960 to Jerry and JoAnne Clayton. After attending Plainview High School in the late 70s, Bruce held a variety of skilled labor positions including auto mechanic, plumber and welder. Most recently, he was working in the estimating department for Turn 2 Specialty Companies.

Bruce had a passion for old cars. He enjoyed working on them and restored several over his lifetime.

He had a deep love for his family. Spending time with them made him happy and his children and grandchildren filled his heart with joy. Singing karaoke at family gatherings and listening to old music were favorite pastimes for him as well.

He loved dogs and always seemed to have a furry friend at his side.

Anyone who knew Bruce knows the sound of authentic, unadulterated laughter. He very literally laughed out loud, and it was the best. He loved simplicity, peace, and the quiet of small town life.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Clayton and his son, Josh Bell. He is survived by his wife Julie Clayton, son Monty (Tamara) Clayton, daughter Donna (Chris) Wilkinson, daughter Vanessa (Freddy) Dunsmoor, daughter Sara (Rainey) Land, daughter Olivia Clayton, brother Rex (Nabiha) Clayton, sister Roma (Stan) Martin, sister Jolanda Simpson, brother Todd (Lori) Clayton, mother Jo-Anne Clayton, and ten grandchildren, Annika, Jimmy, Flynn, Henry, Jade, Jake, Courtnie, Khloe, Sahara, and Jaxon.
