October 18, 1955 December 12, 2022
Terri Johnson died peacefully at Rainy Lake Medical Center on Monday, December 12th, 2022 with her family by her side.
Terrol Lynn Brekke was born in International Falls, MN on October 18, 1955 to Norman and Lois Brekke. She graduated from Falls High School with the class of 1974. On September 14th, 1974 she married her loving husband, John Johnson. From east to west and north to south, Terri and her family lived far and wide, but International Falls was always her home. After many years away, she moved home in 1990 to be back with her family.
Terri began selling real estate in 1994 with Century 21 Town & Country Realty. She later took the role as owner and broker and enjoyed many years being part of people’s lives through her real estate career.
Terri is preceded in death by her parents Norman and Lois Brekke; infant sister Marjorie Brekke; and sister Debbie Gushulak. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Johnson; her 4 children and 7 grandchildren: her son Brandon and his wife Angela Johnson, their children Skylar, Tatum and Alivia; her daughter Brooke Dodd and her husband Paul, their daughters Adeline and Lily; her son Brett Johnson and his wife Mandy, their children Riley and Archer; and her son Brock Johnson and his wife Angel, and Terri’s beloved grand-dog, Gabe; her siblings Jerome (Judy) Brekke; Wanda (Ronnie) Pelland, Bob (Cathy) Brekke, and Linda (John) Braaten, her brother-in-law Melvin Gushulak; many special nieces and nephews, and lifelong girlfriends from the class of ‘74.
As the youngest of six, family was the center of everything in her life. Terri was creative, adventurous, giving, and after 32 years of kids at home, a little bit exhausted! Her house was always bustling and bursting with people, made to feel right at home. Terri lived a full life, filled with love and family. She will be so missed!
Terri will be laid to rest at the Zion Cemetery in Karlstad, MN.
