Joan Marie Spry (Kersting), 84, passed away peacefully  in her sleep, of natural causes, on Dec. 10, 2021 at Big Fork Valley Memory Center.

She was born Dec. 20, 1936 in Waubun, Mn. After graduating from Waubun High School, she was a telephone operator.  She then married Russell Spry, also from Waubun, and followed him in his Army career for a few years before ending up in International Falls, Mn where they raised their family. The Falls is where she lived most of her life. She worked at JC Penny’s in the catalog department.  In her older years she always said,” I had a lot of fun in my lifetime.”

She is survived by her sister Susie.

Buschette, and brother James Kersting. Also her children, Pam (Randy) Cody, Russell (Pamm Ella) Spry, Michael (Pam Riggs) Spry,  Debbie Spry (Danny Graves) and many grand children, great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. 

According to her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Her burial will be this summer in Waubun, Mn and she will be buried next to her father, Joseph Kersting.
