A bobcat, not often seen in daylight, works its way across the deep snow east of Ranier. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website said the bobcat, the smallest of Minnesota’s native wildcats, is named for its “bob” tail, which looks as though it has been cut off at about 5 inches long.
